Tanabe: Corrosion Hole in Piping!! Help!!
I just installed some new shocks on my 97 Civic and I noticed that I had a corrosion hole (about 1/8" X 2.5") where the piping bends above the LCA. I have a Tanabe G Power Medallion exhaust. The rest of the exhaust is fine (no signs of other holes or serious corrosion). The exhaust is about 4 years old and I live in Utah (harsh winters) old but it shouldn't corrode this easily.
Can I patch the hole with anything? If not, will any axle-back exhausts fit on the existing Tanabe piping? Any help would be great.

you can just patch it up with exhaust cement, temporarily. get it at any auto parts store. then you can replace it in the future.
lols. funny thing is, it might or might not last that long. i had exhaust cement patched on my supra. it was fine for over a year. it all depends on how big your patching up. if it's really corroded, it might be time to replace it.
and don't try what i did, 5 years ago, being that i was only 16. don't patch up the whole piping. it helped temporarily, but it gave off. these type of sealants are high-temp, but it doesn't mean they'll hold for that long. try it out.
