Default Tach is misreading in 92 Accord

Anyone have any feed back, my tach in my accord is acting up, sometimes it will go all the way to redline, when i know the car is clearly not redlinging, I think the pick up is bad. Where is the pick up, is this something a new distributor cap may fix? thanks for the input....

sounds like a bad tach. the tach is driven off the ground on the coil, but doubtful its the coil.

Its prolly your ignitor about ready to die. Thats what mine did right before it went out on me. The tach would be all over the place and acceleration was super sluggish... Im pretty sure thats what it is...

Good Luck
