Which Synchro ??
Ok, I have a 95 Sir II/b16a Trannie. The 3rd gear synchro has gone bye bye. Can I replace it using 99-00 SI Synchro or do I need to use the one of the type r? I believe they have the same 3rd gear synchro but I'm not sure. Anyone want to help me on this? TIA

well its the same tranny so yes it should use the 99-00 si 3rd gear tranny. the way to find out the real answer is to ask honda the part numbers for both.

Well I found out that 00 si and integra type r 3rd gear synchro are the same thing. Here's the parts number incase anybody need it 23623-p21-315

So the only way to know if a Synchro is bad is if it grinds while trying to put it into gear? And normally 2nd and 3rd gear synchros will go bad correct? Does the 1st gear synchro ever go bad?
