STRANGE STARTER PROBLEM...need help ASAP
first of all i really appreciate you just clicking on my therad to read it. its kind alnog but im trying to describe what all diag i have done before posting to help both you and me. if you havfe any thing to say, anything at all please feel free to say. thanks alot.
so heres whats going on. i just swaped a 96 civic DX with a obd2 gsr. its running on a chiped p05 ecu it has a civic harness as well. i recieved this motor in a box and the harness was very rough as well. anyways i get it all rebuilt and harness repaired and got it drop in.
now here the prob. when i got to crank it ann there is is the STARTER CUT RELY cluicking over and the 40A RElay/fuse in the under hood fuse box clicking. nothing else.
fist i checked the clutch engagemnt switch to cut relay. good. relay has resistance and 12V coming out of it with clutch pressed.
then i check to starter. 12V to starter from cut switch with clutch pressed and key on and 12 volts from battery.
so then i tried manually jumping the started. it worked fine on a bench started tester. but when you directly strt it in the car attached to the trans nothing.
HERES THE STRANGE PART.....when i only power JUST the started with another battery...MY EBRAKE LIGHT IN MY CLUSTER COMES ON. AND MY SPEDO GETS POWER AND IF MY SEATBELT IS DISCONNECTED IT WILL BEEP 5 TIMES....AND THATS WITH NO KEY IN THE INGNITION SWITCH.
i have no clue whats up. only thing ican think of is that a wire that is supplying voltage something is swapped arround with a wire that is grounding something. but i have no clue where if that is the prob.

I assume you have done a bypass jump, unplug the starter lead from solenoid, supply power directly to the solenoid terminal from either the batt. or the batt. cable on the starter motor, if engine does not crank check your batt. to chassis and chassis to engine ground. 94
