I have a 99 Civic LX sedan with the D16Y7. The exhaust manifold is the kind with the cat attached to it (I'm in Cali, btw). Could I swap the entire exhaust including manifold and cat from an EX sedan with no mods? I just want it to bolt up. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, 96dx. So what's the difference between a Cali manifold and non-cali. Smog differences.... like no O2 sensors? I dunno. I wanted to buy this as a replacement. http://www.1aauto.com/1A/Exhau...42172
yeah it'll bolt on...but I think you're gonna have to lengthen the primary 02 sensor...The EX has the cat under the car by the shift linkage not in the manifold. if you buy an aftermarket header meant for an EX you can bolt it up to your DX exhaust and bypass the cat....not legal but everyone does it.

that looks like headers for your lx? why would you want to buy that if youre putting on the ex system (headers back)?? if youre going to keep youre OG LX system then yea buy that to replace. but if youre going to swap your entire exhaust system then you need to pick up the headers for an ex that looks like this
and the cat is connected at the end of that.

Thanks, guys! Basically I wanted another option if I couldn't find a LX manifold... now I know the entire EX system is a bolt-on. I really want a LX mainfold, it'll be easier.
So what is the difference between a Cali (smog) manifold and a non-Cali one??? Anyone have pics of a non-Cali exhaust manifold?
