Default steering rack stops / limiting steering angles?

I'm wondering if there is a way adjust or build-up the steering stops on the Honda racks, to limit the amount of steering left to right.

We don't need the amount of steering that the stock rack currently allows (we're not spending a lot of time in parking lots, etc.), and would like to limit it so we reduce the high-misalignment scenarios that have proven a big problem with the CV joints.

This is a relatively common thing that people do on rally cars apparently, but typically they are adjustable externally from the rack, but the hondas the steering stops seem to be internal.

Any ideas?

either buy a quaife steering rack. or take it apart and weld something to the rack gear. but is this for a road race car becasue i dont see the real advantage. explain.

We're breaking CV joints at 'extreme' steering angles on gravel, when the joints are at their weakest.

I'm not looking for a shorter steering ratio.

I'm actually looking to adjust the steering stops to limit how far the steering wheel can be turned, to eliminate the most extreme angles. We don't usually need those extreme angles, but sometimes end up with the wheel turned that much because the car is understeering, and then we break an axle.

The steering rack stops on many FWD rally cars can and are adjusted to use less of the total range then a street car to help reduce the likelyhood of snapping an axle. From the folks that suggested this to me this weekend stated that this is usually external to the rack on many cars, but doesn't appear as such on the Honda.
