Default Sparkplug change gone bad (rant)

I'm so freakin pissed right now. It seems like everytime I touch my car, something breaks. Well I figured I would be productive and change my spark plugs. First take off the sparkplug cover-OK. then I notice 2 of the 4 nuts under the spark plug cover are loose. So I go to tighten them, 1st one ok. 2nd one ****** breaks. So I'm like great. So all I have no is the rubber washer with no idea what to do. So I figure might as well keep going w/ the spark plugs. They're a little snug in there, I get 3 out of 4 out. The 4th one, the damn wire comes out, but the damn metal electrode tip stuck to the actual plug. So now I'm stuck w/ a broken bolt and an incomplete set of spark plug wires. I got these from autozone about 8 months ago, would they exchange me a new set of wires? And what do I do about the broken stud?

take a deep breath! it'll work out. autozone will replace the wires if you have a receipt or go in and you should be in the computer. the broken bolt? well I haven't experienced that yet. but I do know they are not to be that tight anyway. good luck?!! Elmerfudd

for the broken bolt just take off the valve cover and youll see that its easy to change but your gonna have to go to honda and get the bolt from them. should take 5 minutes to replace but waiting for the bolt will take a while. and remember to torque it to specs which i think is 15 lbs. also the valve cover bolts dont need to be tightened real hard. ive seen many people break these tryin to over tighten them. good luck

i know what you mean about working on your car. just relax, it'll all work out

about the stud, take off the valve cover, and unscrew it with a screw extractor(ez out). just did this on my sohc about 3 months ago. those long bolts break easily.

Take those Autozone wires and put them where they belong, in the garbage, and get you some NGK's or Honda wires....thats my professional opinion...3gdude

The torque for the valve cover bolts is like 7-9 ft./lbs.

My next question is where do I get the stud for the valve cover? I understand I have to order this from Honda, but is there a part number or am I going to have to just describe this to them?
