when im at a stop sign (ive also stopped completely) and then its my turn to go, i cant put the car into gear, when i try to it gets "stuck" about half way and then when i try to step on the gas it grinds, after it grinds, i can then put it into gear. what is this?

 

what works for me is going into second then into first. sometimes i cant get into second, so i go 3-2-1.

 

What are you using for manual tranny fluid? I had similar problems (notchy shifting, problems getting into first at low speeds, etc) when I was running 10w30 motor oil like my chiltons manual recommends. Just for kicks I flushed it and replaced it with Honda MTF and it's like night and day.

 

Mine does the same thing.. I am just guessing that the gear is wearing out?? but like the other posts say I just throw it in 2nd and then back up to first. almost always works then

 

The 2 then 1 shift and snap the throttle a little. Use honda mtl.

 

reverse is a huge problem for Bseries trannies too, getting into gears slowly is the reason ive figured out..it sux and grab a little
