I've been running the small Hamp filters for a while now and noticed my vtec kicks in more consistantly and audibly much louder.
I wanted to see if anyone had similar occurences...

i agree with steve on this one. went to a hamp for about 3 oil changes and my oil was more dirty consistently with that oil filter on. back to regular stock one now and the oil appears cleaner. also with the hamp filter i burned oil slightly quicker
if it's more pressure you want, just buy a filter for the rsx. if you wan't both, pressure and clean oil, check to see if mobil makes a filter for the rsx!

good hearing from everyone.
I've been changing the oil every 3000 miles or so. The oil (M1) still flows incredibly well at that point, and while it's dirty, it isn't at what I would call the replacement point for it.

changing to a smaller filter will cause the filter to go into bypass mode more often. once your are in the upper rpm ranges with the regular or smaller size filter itll go into bypass mode anyways, so i dont see any benefits of using a smaller filter b/c the oil pressure should be the same for both size filters when in bypass mode. but i do think that the oil pressure will be higher in the lower rpm ranges.
