slave cylinder boot is ripped..is this bad???
It depends on how bad its ripped. If is just flopping arround and ripped in half I would suggest changing it (but it can be a pain in the ars). But otherwise its there to protect the shaft and keep out dirt and if it not to bad keep it and do nothing.
its up to you id replace but i once met this guy with about $12000 in his type r it had a fully built trans didn't have one i laughed in his face asking him whether he was crazyhe said it didn't come with one i laughed harder he was a little rich boy never looked under his hood
You should get a new one if it's damaged, even though it's not a real big deal. Outside debris and **** can get into the clutch housing if it's really screwed up..
