silly computer question please help D16Z6
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I saw a post about the D16Z6 engine in a sand rail.
I got a D16Z6 for my sand rail progect engine last Saturday. I also grabbed the complete wireing harness fuse boxes, and computer. AMONG
My buggy will not be street legal
Basically I would to know what I must have hooked up in order for the engine to run.
I rebuilt my prelude and built a jeep CJ7. So I'm not a total idiot, but this comupter stuff I am not to familiar with.
I just dont want a HEAP of wiring harness kicking around if only need to plug a couple things in.
I can supply pictures of the harness if anyone needs me to.
Please help thank you !!!

Go to autozone.com, go to repair info (on left). Under that is vehicle repair guides. Choose the year, make, and model of car your engine came from. Navigate to vehicle repair info > chassis electrical > wiring diagrams. In the wiring diagrams area, pick the "engine wiring" diagram that is for your engine. These diagrams are nicely simplified, not showing an excessive amount of extra crap. Connect all the sensors as shown. Pay close attention to connect switched ignition, constant power, and ground to the leads they indicate. I have wired a couple dune buggies using the wiring diagrams supplied by this site, and they worked very well with no MIL light on.... enjoy.

Thank you for that idea. Totally helps. Cut and pasted all those diagrams and without them i would have been screwed.

Very nice
Some of the coolest builds I've seen were done by Canadians. Here are a couple that stand out in my mind.
