Silly Civic EX... (automatic tranny)

Heres the deal

When I start the car and put it in drive the transmission will grab gears.... its mushy, but it drives....

about 30 feet down the road, the gears all go neutral.

I put it in neutral, turn it off, turn it on, and it grabs gears again... for 30 feet...

Rinse and Repeat.

What are your thoughts?

besides the obvious like check fluids.....maybe loose shift selector cable? or the tranny is toast...how many miles?

well...

I just ended up replacing it with a used tranny.
wasnt about to have it rebuilt for 1100-1500...

450 for a used tranny w/ 60k miles on it
90 day warranty

not bad IMO
