Should I tune my car?
Im looking for some advice as if I should tune my car. I drag race it, and its my daily driver. Its a 95 Teg with a JDM GSR, CTR intake cam, Skunk2 IM, AEM CAI, DC sports JDM Header, Apexi N1 Exhaust, ITR Tranny, Clutch and a Flywheel. If I tune it I want to buy a Hondata S100, and a set of Adjustable Cam Gears. Right now im just running a P28 with a reprogram from ECU Hacker. Is it worth it to tune the car do you guys think?
Thanks
Jay

IMO from what i've been through, all motor and now to boost, the best thing you can do for your motor is tune it. even if you are running short on $$$ just tune it for an hour.... give it a chance at least... specially if you are racing it, and its your daily driver, you need to it to be reliable.... so i say you should tune it.

i definately agree. i never thought that tuning made such a difference until i did it. all i can say is you dont get the full potential out of your motor with bolt-ons unless you tune the car for them.

hook it up to a wideband to see how the A/f is doing.
you could get some power by adding a lil of timing in the middle and taking soem off at the top; but tuning timing is going to cost.

no 2 motors run the same...get your motor tuned to the a/f ratio YOUR motor likes...the fuel maps from the chipped ecu, is a base tune from another modded motor...make your motor reliable and protect your investment
