rusty valve springs need help

Default rusty valve springs need help

I bought some used supertech dual valve springs off some guy on honda-tech
recently, some of the valve springs have a little rust, if i put them in my head will the rust effect how they operate.. will it damage the head?

I"m not putting any crazy cams in just buddy blub 3 plus cams...

any suggestions would be great...

if it's only very light surface rust then you can soak them in wd40 or engine oil to get the rust off.

if the rust it deep and pitted into the valve springs i would not use them. the valve springs can be weak if they are pitted badly since they do see allot of stress at high rpm.

its not pitted, it's just surface rust, live i take a light sand paper and rub it , the rust comes off..
