my gas tank has been sitting for a while i drained and and cleaned it to sump it and now it has a little bit of rust inside of it. what is the best way to remove the rust thank you.

 

buy a new one....seriously dont waste your money sumping a used tank that is rusted inside....if you insist on cleaning it there are chemicals, but
I dont know the names of them

 

phosphoric acid is used for rust removal... but its alot of work and I dont think its feasible on a gastank.
If theres just little rust, then who cares, theres filters in the tank and its pretty common for metal tanks to rust over time.

Take it to a radiator shop. A lot of those places will clean fuel tanks.

 

its just has a lil rust here and there i didnt see any real big major rust spots in the tank.
