RPM gauge accuracy
Hey guys, just wondering if the stock Honda RPM gauges are accurate. For example if I wanted to put an EX/SI gauge cluster in a DX because I dont find the Monster 5" tach too attractive...but someone told me that the stock RPM gauges weren't that accurate at all. I think the EX/SI cluster with the RPM shift light seems good, but how accurate is the EX/SI RPM gauge?
Thanks.
Thanks.
accurate enough. not all cars are built the same that's all i can say. on one car it may read perfectly while on another it maybe off. mine reads super good!! i don't dig the Moster tach thingy. i think it's just a way to attrack thieves and such.
My JDM tach is out slightly too, when idling the needle is at 900-1000rpm but my vtec controller digital tach reads 650-750rpm so its out by approx 200-250rpm. We swapped my controller in to my friends UKDM EG VTi (B16A) and his was reading out by 2-300rpm too.
