Rod bearing crush?
i'm in the processofbuying a bottom end, but ups won;t ship over 150 so he has to take rods/pistons out and ship them seperatly. This is a fresh motor, never ran polished crank etc..
Question is once the torque is taken off the caps then the bearings are already crushed. So do I need to buy new rod bearings because they won;t have the same crush fit once they go back together, or will they be alright

make sure everything is extremely clean especially in the backside of the bearings. one stop that is not clean will create a hot spot and cause uneven wear on your bearing. Good luck
