Default RHD conversion, Searched need help

I decided to post here becouse from what I have seen, This is by far the best Honda board I have seen and Im hopeing that someone here has done this before. I have a 91 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 E39a and I am wanting to do a RHD conversion on this car. I am in contact with a person in Cali that has the front cut minus motor/trans. The thing is that I dont want to do is cut the car in half to do this, I was thinking that I could swap out the front cross member and fire wall and so on. Any body here do this or could point me to a link? Any help would be great. Thanx.

what an incredible waste of time and money. you're asking about a mitsubishi RHD swap on our honda board...it's unlikely that anyone here has done it. you want right hand drive? get a japanese car.

honestly clip the car, dont bother with cutting firewall and changing steering rack, i was thinking the same thing, turned out to be much easier to just hire someone who has done body work for a while and is familiar with swaping fornt clips, the guy did it for me in 3 days !!! DONE MINT

actually, the "sheer reduction in rigidty" is not as bad as you may think. i myself am converting my ef to RHD, and after careful consideration and calculations, the firewall itself only supports lateral stresses. if the firewall is properly spot welded and seam welded in the rights spots, it will be just as strong as stock. if you all would take a look at your cars, notice the ridge that sticks out about 1 to 2 inches below the wiper cowl: it is spot welded, not seam welded. the only places the seam weld would be the sides and the bottom, as the metal is too thin to do a seam weld all the way around. therefore, the firewall will continue to support lateral stresses like it originally did, provided it was welded right with not distortion.
