Stop hitting rev limiter.

You didn't even tell us what kind of car it is. Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer. Welcome to H-T.

Check the ECU for codes first. I think you should DEFINATELY stay off rev limiter. It's very unintelligent to continue to hit rev limit when you know you have a problem when you do.

Every time you hit the limiter, you run lean. Running lean under WOT is BAD... STOP HITTING IT!

alright i understand the concept of lean, but if the car diies, then there is a problem, i didnt know it was dying because of the rev limiter. but i figured it out through trial and error, its not throwing any codes till it dies, but if i start it back up the code goes away.

From what I've heard about the limiter when you hit it, hard enough I guess, it cuts off the fuel line or something. Maybe as everyone else said it leans the fuel mixture and as you continue to hit it, it gets too lean to run the engine....??? Maybe, I don't know much about it though. Since Integra's are fuel-injected my assumption is that you can't change the limiter or remove it without changing the ECU. Could someone enlighten me on the process of removing or upping the limiter?

Did you have a fat dude sitting in there at the time Wicked Sol? I had this big annoying guy in the back of my Integra the other night and my car peaked at 120mph cause I had all that extra weight hehe.
