Rev limit kicks in early
Here is my problem: I have a PG7 ECU (89 Integra). The ECU redlines at 7600 rpm. Recently the revlimiter has been kicking in between 6500-7000 rpm. I replaced the cap and rotor, plugs and wires. Any ideas what could cause this?
is this when the motor is cold? pg7 has a cold revlimiter which i think is usually at 6200.
I found the problem. My tach signal wire was almost cut in half from a T-Tap that I used form my auto-meter tach. I redid the connections and it is fine now.
