Default Resonable price for valve adjustment

How much would be reasonable for a shop/dealer to do a valve adjustment? I would do it myself but I have never taken apart an engine, and I probably don't even have all the nessesary parts...

$70-$80 sounds right. Most dealerships charge that price for an hour's worth of labor. Valve adjustment takes about an hour from start to finish at a dealer.

something is not right
your supposed to do valve adj with the engine cold
or it will be out of spec
and yes $80 is a bit much for adjusting valves
all you need is some basic hand tools and a feeler gauge

i was nervous at first to do mine....but now i can tackle it no prob

I did my first valve adjustment not too long ago, and it was cake. As long as you have the proper tools, it will be no more difficult than changing your oil (Just more tedious). It should take about 30-45min and is covered in the Helms manual, as well as all the others that I have seen.
