Just wanted to see if any of you guys had reinstalled your ac on a 92-95 civic. I have mine all hooked back up, but for some reason when charging i cant get the air to get cold. The compressor is kicking on just no cool are. Could some one help me out and let me know how many cans of ref. the system holds. I have converted over from R-12 to 134A

 

this is a tough onr to diag buy the info you gave. first check to be sure the fan is runing. second did you evacuate the ac system befor installing the 134a?im assuming the system was open for awhile.and if so a recicver dryer might be a good idea. with more info maybe we can help you out.good luck

 

i would like to know more info too. how hard is it to change the dryer? one of my lines had a hole in it but i changed it already.

its starting to get pretty hot here in socal. should i take my car to the shop or try to fix it by myself?

 

Yeah the system has been off the car for about a yr. I install my turbo kit and B18b and didnt install until now. The fan is coming on and compressor seems to be working like it should. I think i am going to just spend the 100 bucks. I can get the system charged and leak tested for that around here, so it isnt to bad. It just pisses me off that i have bought a charge kit and converted the system over and still am going to have to take it to a shop.
