Default Rehone or Rebore?

well I got this block from a friend, its sleeved to 85mm from laskey racing he recently missed shifted and bent a few valves, I was wondering if I take it to a machine shop if they can just rehone it or is it better to rebore to 85.5mm or should I go to 86mm, or do i have to resleeve it again? sorry for the crappy pic its from my iphone. what do you guys think?

it will need to be bored for sure. only a machine shop can tell you if you can get away will 85.5 or need to go 86.

ps 86mm is the end of the road for that block.cant go any bigger then 86

really, only up to 86mm, my friend said i can go to 87mm but that was it.

i would just rehone remember on stock sleeves you can rehone up to 0.60 if cuts are deeper then that then rebore, if not 0.60 is a good amount. GL

well its a benson sleeved block, i guess same rules apply right? but 86mm will be my max then right?

If you're running n/a on the street, I would recommend only going up to 86.mm on a great tune. If only for the strip, then 87.mm is okay.

if you can feel the marks with your fingernail then it will need the rebore, if you can see the marks but cant feel them then rehone

yea i can feel it with my fingernail so ill get it rehoned then, hopefully its not bad, and it can be rehoned well see in a couple days!!
