real ctr pistons?
hey guys i am wondering how do i determine what civic type r pistons look like? do they have some sort of code or digits on the piston? if so do any of you know the code or digits on it?
a quick reply would be great as i am meeting a guy in about 3 hours to go look at his allegedly"brand new" ctr pistons.
thx

The CTR pistons are really easy to recognize because of the huge dome on them.
Here are a couple pics for reference...
You will notice in the 3rd and 4th picture that there is a PCT stamped on the side of it. That is how you know if they are CTR or not. Mine are the .25mm over ones, so I dont know if you would see that X after the PCT on the regular ones. Just make sure they have the PCT.

yup thx alot man! i got the pct with the x on em, looks like i got me some genuine ctr pistons! i hope everything goes well with them in my gsr! (crossing fingers for no detonation and valve clearance)
Right on, good luck with them. I am still doing research on mine to see if they will work right in my LS...
I hope everything works out for the both of us.
