Question about oil burning in a B16a
Ill start off by saying im just looking for advice not people chewing me out about doing my research before asking questions. Im also going to throw a lot of information out in this first post and I am going to appologize in advance if things may seem unclear.
I have a B16a (stock internals) with a B16a PR3 head, This is my first rebuild and of course i am running into problems, lol
The engine started fine when I got finished building it and putting everything together, nothing out of the ordinary. I drove it around for a while with no problems, didn't beat on it at all till after 150 miles and an oil change, the only time I "beat" on it was hitting vtec once or twice but that was it.
After the oil change i noticed there was some smoke coming from my exhaust, not much but enough to question, i was told maybe it was cylinder wash because of a bad tune. I decided just to keep an eye on it and the oil level. I noticed a week later that more and more smoke appeared so i began to worry and stopped driving it.
The problem is that I am burning oil, I know this because there is white smoke coming out of my exhaust pipe and when I wipe the muffler pipe it is a liquid as opposed to a powder form. So to investigate a little further I took off my exhaust manifold and looked inside the exhasut ports and I then learned that pistons 1-2-3 are all burning fairly clean but piston 4 is where the oil is coming from.
Now after learning this i went and did some research and came upon 3 possibilities for a solution
1) Head gasket is blown, deformed, defected ect
2) The valve guides and valves could be loose due to them being old ect.
3) The piston rings
I have replaced the head gasket (OEM) and I actually had the head rebuilt, (New valves, stems, and guides) the head was also resurfaced. I put everything back together and it was still smoking. One random thought one day was maybe it could possibly be my valve clearance for some reason, So i re did the valve clearence and it semi fixed the problem, i noticed a lot less smoke in idle, but the second you open the throttle a little bit, here comes the smoke. (Keep in mind this is my first rebuild so i could possibly be doing the valve clearence wrong still.)
Now my question to anybody out there, Is there anything else I should investigate on this situation before i jump into replacing the piston rings. I have no issue replacing them, but why spend the time and money in replacing them when it could be something totally different or unnecessary?
I want to thank anybody ahead of time that took the time to read this and help me out. Thanks

After coming across some other forums I have more information to add.
I have learned that a light grey/ blueish smoke is oil
and a white smoke is coolant (from head gasket)
After i learned that i turned my car on again and looked at the smoke from a different angle and lighting to see the true colors, and i see both
Blue smoke when it is idleing, and white smoke when the throttle is opened
Now i still find it hard to believe that it is the head gasket, because i have gone through like 4 of them both oem and the fel pro ones
Is there any other place that i could be leaking coolant or oil into the cylinders?

I don't drive it so i haven't noticed if i am losing much, and yeah ill check the plug and plug wire today
If what i have read on other threads about the color of the smoke was correct then theoretically I would be losing oil and coolant..
