Quaker State High Mileage oil?
is it tru that synthetic oil tends to burn up faster than conventional oil? because i have been running a synthetic blend and it has been dissapearing on me but i have no oil leaks

I use it on my Escort, I dont think id use it on my Honda though

More than likely it is leaking somewhere...
Synthetic oil tends to leak through seals quite a bit more than conventional oil. Do you have any white smoke on start up after it sits a while?

How did we get on the subject of synthetic oils? I don't use synthetics, I'm not planning to, and I never mentioned them.
I know my car burns some oil. Actually, a mechanic today recommended I switch to 10w-40. I'm thinking of trying that.
Edit: my car has 138k miles. At 2500-3000 mile intervals, when I change my oil, it's totally black.
