i have a jdm b18c itr engine in my 99 Si, after i installed the a/c the car surges when the a/c is turned on. the car pulls forward after i turn the a/c off, and if i turn it on the car it loses power. there is a significant difference in performance between when the a/c is on and off. any suggestions ? definately feels like an electrical issue

 

thats what happens to all cars.. AC belt is on the same pully as timing.. more stress on your car.. nothings wrong with electricals

 

i know that, but this has to be abnormal. do you think this could happen if the compressor was bad. i've had a noise that comes from either the wheel bearing or a/c in high rpms.

 

Take off the AC belt & see if the noise goes away.

Your IACV is supposed to hold the idle steady when the AC clutches in & out, but maybe your AC has more drag than normal. Especially if the AC is the source of the noise...

Is it possible the AC is over-charged?
