My 97 Civic Lx is having some power steering problems and I don't know if it is my car or Honda PS in general..

THe problem is that it feels notchy (unresponsive/slow and inconsistent response) and it feels floaty on the Highway..

 

check the fluid in it..also make sure when you top it off to use a honda rated fluid only..if its not the fluid level it may be the pump or rack going south on you.
