I just bought my first Honda. A 1996 Accord EX with a 2.2L Vtec. When I try to look the doors all the locks seem to make this awful sound. Sometimes they will lock and sometimes they won't. I noticed that the driver door lock cannot ve pushed down manually. Plus, it keeps doing it over and over about every minute or so. Any suggestions on what might be causing this.

 

Drivers door lock actuator needs to be replaced, possibly the pass. door also.

However check all the door lock linkage first, make sure it is not bent or binding. 94

 

To the OP, this can happen a lot especially if the door panel has been off to fix a door or window problem in the past. All of the linkages need to move freely, if not you will keep putting actuators in it.
