possible turbo timer problem? *its a mystery*
Quick question (ive posted on other forums - but its a mystery, no one knows)
History / Setup:
1999 Civic EX sohc turbo
greddy turbo timer
Problem:
So the other day (after bolting everything on for my turbo kit) I went to start my car by turning the key one click, two clicks, etc. Well, after turning my key one click, I noticed that my turbo timer, radio, gauge backlights nor cigaratte lighter had any power to them. I had attempted to press the power button on the turbo timer many times (so im not sure if it on or off or whatever). Then, turned the key two clicks, no power to any of them. Checked the fuses on the radio circuit and parking light circuit (where my gauges are hooked up) and they were blown. I replaced the fuse for the radio circuit, but havent had a chance to replace the parking light fuse. Then, turned the key one click again and had power to the radio again at least, but the turbo timer wasn't powering up again. So my question is, I know the turbo timer affects accessories (Eg. radio and whatnot) so could it be the cause of no power the first time? Secondly, why would things work the second time then, if just the fuse was replaced? Lastly, why is there no power to the turbo timer? Does the car have to be running for it to turn on (didnt think so)?
*Btw, Ive checked the wiring scheme and its right on..
the parking brake was on and the car was not moving when this was attempted, help please
