Default Possible clutch problem

this started happening yesterday..
Stock clutch(mods on sig)

When I was getting off the freeway and coming to a stop, I put the car in neutral and coasted to a stop, put it in 1st and took off like normal(not hard at all) when I after engauging the clutch and shifting into 2nd gear as I let the clutch out about halfway up it kinda stuck very breifly and popped up( all withing 1/4") I thought to myself that was strange and continued to my buddies shop about 1/2 mile away to drop of a short shifter for his 1996 Corvette GranSport.. when I got there I told him what was going on and he took it for a ride and didn't notice a thing so I left..

While driving home all seemed well, untill I tried downshifting when I noticed I couldn't put my tranny into a lower gear while rolling. After coming to a complete stop at a light I noticed the car kinda shake/shutter while starting to roll in 1st gear and upshifting became difficult to place the shifter into the next gear( like it just wouldn't go in) and it'sbeen doing this ever since...

I've heard using the GM (MTF)syncromesh modified tranny fluid helps smooth out the notchyness of bseries trannies, so I am going to change my fluid in the morning anong with breading and changing my clutches hydrolic fluid to a dot4 fuild instead of the dot3( I noticed a nice differance when I did the same with my brake fluid)

So has anything like this happend to any of you?

Kinda sounds like air in the clutch fluid, or a clutch master going bad. Possibly the clutch itself. It's not disengaging completely. If so, tranny fluid won't make a difference. Clutch bleeding will help if it's a hydraulic problem. If bleeding doesn't permantly fix it, then look at replacing your clutch MC.

I had a spring break in the hub of the clutch disk, but that wasn't subtle. It just locked up for good & wouldn't even partly disengage.

When your brake MC goes bad, your pedal slowly & smoothly sinks to the floor while you rest your foot on the pedal at a stop sign. When the same thing happens to your clutch MC, it slowly engages the clutch while you hold the pedal down on the floor.

This was what was causing it I think the stray piece of metal was one of the clutch disk's counter weights it came out from behind one of the four springs on the disk and got stuck between my disk and my pressure plate...

I was so glad to find out it wasn't my tranny
