Hi guys.... I am getting ready to tear down my motor this weekend to hopefully diagnose my problem... I have a ton of oil getting in cylinder 4 for some reason... hoping someone could guide me in the right direction...

The motor is a B18C1 block with 00 B16 head its in my 00 SI, the valve cover is definately not the cause of this, its coming interally.... I replaced my plugs and rolled for a couple days, upon pulling them backout there is a lot of oil getting all over the plug in that cylinder and its obviously fouled up pretty bad.

I did a compression check on the motor and every cylinder was near 100% exact, one cylinder was off from the rest by 1PSI. This is leading me to believe it is the oil scraper ring or the valve seals, there is no oil in the coolant, so I don't believe its the headgasket... For some reason the oil smells like gas, almost 100% like gas actually. I am really looking for some input or advice... I haven't ripped this apart before but I don't have the funds to take it to someone. Do you guys think this sounds like valve seals ?

The car is blowing blueish white smoke, and it is now smoking even at idle, it smokes quite bad at high revs obviously.

I am having to add oil daily, or after a certain amount of miles, it is leaking that bad.... If anyone could help me out with some ideas or what to look for upon taking the head off, etc... I would really appreciate it.

 

you say it's not the valve cover,what about gromets on the valve cover?b18c1 compression is 220 to 240 lbs.
