Default PHAT IGNITION WIRES

Hey all,
I have never heard of PHAT plug wires before, but I think their awesome. My brother, while on vacation in Virginia, walked into a parts store and saw them on display. He knows that I’m always looking for high performance & unique items for my Honda so he picked them up for me. They are advertised as 10.4mm Low Ohm Racing Wires. They are HUGH & come in a sharp looking glossy blue color wire but they only have a limited coverage (http://www.KarlynSTI.com)
These wires are the first thing that people now comment on when I open up the hood of my car. Are these wires new or is it that I just have not heard of them before?

I just odered a set of blue Spoon Sports plug wires, but if I hadn't, I think I would have gotten these just to see if it's all show or if they actually do any good. Let us know. Also, how much are they?

I always go with the leader, Magnecor. Or another well respected company. Wires don't give you power. A good wire will just transmit the current and not emit electonic noise and that's exactly what Magnecor does. Don't believe the hype. Go to their site and check out their article on "performance wires".

I have had Nology, ViTek, and NGK. I bought into the hype. Then I bought back into reality. The Vitek ended up arching through the boots because of the poor connection. They nology held up better, but no gain. Then I saw Stephan Papadakis and looked at his car up close and personal. He had NGK. When I needed to replace the crappy Viteks, I went back to some good ole NGK.

I got the Magnecor because i have an upgraded ignition. I dont think the OEMs can stand up to that for too long. Not sure though.

They hold up to everything. Bigger is not always better.

Yep. Mine have held up better than anything, and I to have an upgraded ignition. MSD 6A with a Crane Cams coil.

AAAHH, The secret is out!
I too have the PHAT Wires. I liked my NGK's but I wanted a change. I usually don't get caught up in Gimmick stuff, but these PHAT wires looked so good and were reasonably priced. I got mine at http://www.forparts.com/sti.htm
So far they work great! Time will tell......

Why do I have the feeling that this post is simply an advertisment for these "phat" wires? I mean, we have a newbie come on here and post about his wires. His post looked slightly suspect to begin with. Not to mention the fact that he has posted only once! Now we have another one time poster who comes on and only post about his wires and where to get them. Hmmm. Not too mention, both have aol addresses. (Now the aol could be a coincidence, but in this case, I doubt it) Something is fishy.

I would not buy a set for two reasons. 1)I like my NGKs. 2)I hate your marketing tactics.

WOW!
So much for the Christmas Spirt.
True, I am a roookie, but I'm not on anyone's payroll. I just thought I would add my 2 cents cause I finally found a topic that I knew something about. I will lay low and try to understand what is and what isn't Tabu.

Hey man, if you are legit, it is cool. It just seemed kinda odd. You can understand the coincidence right?

Sorry, I wouldnt put any kinda of part on my car that involved the name PHAT on it. Plus size doesnt really account for too much. I have Accell right now but will be going back to NGK's.
