Default p75 chip question

hey guys. i bought a p75 ecu a while back and now am getting into my turbo stuff. i'm pretty sure its crome chipped but it already has a setup and i'm thinking (pretty sure) about going with hondata. what i want to know is:
theres this little chip where if you put the ecu in front of you with the pinout facing left, its in the bottom right corner. it has a little switch where if i press the switch the resistor/chip thingy comes out. is this the right one? and if it is and i were to get hondata, would i be able to just leave this chip out and use hondata? or would i have to get a new ecu? i'll have picks up later today when my sister gets back with the camera. any help would be appreciated.

sounds like a ZIF socket with a chip in it. That's how Crome works.

installing hondata should be very easy in that ECU, most of the work is all ready done.
