Okay so i placed an order last week for a set of skunk2 pro 1 camshafts from a Honda-tech member.. When i went to pick up the package from the local post office it was vey light weight wise, so i told the usps employee something was wrong.. She the postmaster then opened the package to find it full of shredded paper but no camshafts..

When the package was shipped from the seller it shows the package weighed 11lbs 7ozs and when i recieved it it weighed 1lbs.. I contacted the seller and he said i dont know what happened but i sent them, and i will make a few calls and call you back.. I havent gotten a call back form him nor has he responded to my texts.. Now either he's got a good scam going with a buddy at the post office or a usps employee just happened to choose my usps box to steal the contents and retape and send on to me..Seems like if he was innocent he would return my calls or texts to try to make it right..

I payed for it thorugh paypal but since i sent the payment from my iphone it automatically sends it as a personal payment and paypal wont cover it, i wasnt aware of this.. Had i known this i would have waited till i was home to use my personal computer to send a payment for goods and i would have been covered.. It seems like maybe paypal should fix there iphone app to avoid new app and hondatech users from making this mistake..

Anyways anyone ever had this happen what can i do to get my $400 back???

 

Did you use a credit card on paypal? That's your best shot at filing a claim. Paypal is straight up retarded.

 

No my atm/debit card is on file on my paypal account so it just pulled the $400 form my checking account..

 

go online for your checking account and it should give you an adress and contact info or call your bank they will give you that info

 

Looks like you're out of luck if the seller is being shady now. Best advice ever, never link your checking account to any internet sites. Always use a credit card so you can file for fraud.

 

Ya i have his name, address and phone number. Its my word against his at this point because he did ship a package but when i recieved it was only 1lbs and full of shredded paper.. So it may have been stolen by the postal carrier on its way from arizona to georgia i don't know..

I call bullshit i dont see the postal carrier stealing package and just hoping it was some good stuff.. If he had just shipped it with priority mail and insurance like we agreed on i wouldnt be in this boat but he was being a cheap ***.. He text me after he shipped it and said sorry they wanted to much to ship it that way so i sent it via parcel post..

 

I may come out ok waiting on a decision from paypal.. I paid from my iphone and it doesnt give you the option to select what you are paying for goods or personal it just automatically selects personal which isnt covered by paypal buyer proctection...

I use my iphone on the go all the time to pay via paypal and im sure others do to.. The paypal manager explanied that there app was only to send money to friends or family not for business transactions lol.. I told him they should update ther app to tell people this.. So if i had just used my home computer to send the money for goods id have my money back..

I think they realize even though its the guys fault for scamming me, that they may be at fault to for not having the option on there app to allow you to choose who your paying personal or business...

 

Any signs of double taping? 2 different kinds of tape?
Can you really ship a package that weighs 1 lb and have the label read 11 lbs?
Any idea what a pair of cams weigh?
Perhaps you could make a post with his screen name and see if others have been scammed by the same person?

Not to my knowledge but thats why i figured they had an insider at USPS.
I would imagine about 10 pounds together..
