I have a problem with my build that I can't figure out.I had a b16 sleeved and built a while ago and I had a falling out with the builder.I am experiencing oil seeping out of the head into the manifold. The amount of oil is significant.I originally did a compression test and the compression was great and my recent compression check also had good numbers.I rebuilt the entire head and replaced the headgasket along with all the necessary gaskets.I also at the same time had the turbo sent out to be rebuilt. The problem is the oil issue wasn't solved.I am still having the issue with the oil and the only thing I can think of is maybe one of the oil rings or maybe more than one was either broken or never installed.Like mentioned before the builder totally screwed me his name is in my sig.Any ideas ion what could cause an issue like this?
which manifold, intake or exhaust? are you positive is isnt coming from the valve cover gasket or somewhere higher on the head? Without seeing pictures I cant diagnose anything over the internet but we need a little more info
You also say oil is going into the manifold...do you me on to the manifold? You could be blowing oil through the breather on the valve cover into the intake and coating your intake manifold but this is sign of something much worse than just changing a gasket

It isnt leaking out of the anywhere the oil is leaking inside of the exhaust manifold. It is seeping out of where the flange mounts to the head and also where the turbo mounts tothe manifold. The head isnt cracked because it was rebuilt and fully checked before I installed it along with replacing every bolt and gasket in the head.It was a full rebuild new seals valves and seats along with springs and retainers.
Well there is nothing that leads to the exhaust manifold except the exhaust ports so that means oil is getting pushed into the exhaust manifold from the cylinders then. I have never seen this before. Seems like you have a lot of oil flowing through there then if it isnt burning it in the exhaust

Well its burning some off in the exhaust but I just can't figiure out what the issue is without having to dissasembe the entire motor again.I must say I didnt build the bottom end so the issue may be there.I was told by a few people that the oil rings may be the issue or maybe even one ring. The only thing that throws me off is its quite a bit of oil.
if there is that much oil I would assume something is wrong with the rings if there even are rings installed. I have never seen large amounts of oil come out of the exhaust ports.

I may be under the impression it is more than it really is because after it seeps through it seems to get on everything but that may just be because the turbo may have backed off the manifld a tiny bit and its letting it out a bit easier than it should be.I am going to remove all that stuff in the next couple of days and see if I take a look inside the exhaust ports and see whats going on.

Do you think it will be ok if I just clean the cylinder walls n not home it if it looks good w no cracks or anything of that sort?
