Default oil pressure gauge readings

what does ur oil pressure gauge read when ur car is off? does it stay where it was, move randomly, or return to zero? how about when it isn't even installed in the car. should it matter where the needle sits? thanks

It's probably the sender that's bad, not the gauge

Yay! i called the guy and asked if he ever used it, and he said he didnt, just pulled it offa the last car he bought. i should be able to get a refund today.

and now i can get an oil pressure gauge that actually matches the boost gauge i bought
