Oil pan to strainer distance

Oil pan to strainer distance
Hey
I built a custom oil pan. I am now adjusting the distancve between the bottom of the pan and the strainer.
I currently have 2.9cm at the closest point. I am being told that this isn't close enough.
I have no problem getting it closer, but i'd like to have some kind of reference.
How close should the strainer be to the oil pan floor ?
