any body have a picture of what it should look like, mine seems to be slightly raised off where it fits the block.

On the Honda Site for parts doesnt look like there is a Oring and there is not one listed as a part. looks like its just pressed fit

Every one I've pulled out has no O-Ring, I beleive on some of the older accords etc you were able to remove them as they were held in by a 6mm bolt so in those cases, there was an o-ring. But on all B-series, it should be a press fit with a tight tolerance to seal it as it should only be oil splashing on it. Best thing to do is pull it out, clean it up, jbweld it back in or silicone it in.

That is correct, your Y8 did have the removable dipstick tube which was sealed with an O-Ring. But as you see, there is a sorta clamp/bracket that holds it down that you take off as well. most dipstick tubes that ahve a bracket of some sort, are removable, unlike all b-series

If the dipstick was coming out maybe, but he said the tube at the base of the block.

ok so i had a chance to really look at it today, its not coming out the dip stick thing. its a small crack in the block above the dipstick area in one of those galleys. so i j-b welded it and its not leaking now. although it does have me concerned.
