Offset/tire clarification...help, ordering this week!
Ok, few questions.
ive asked a few times but never really gotten a straight forward anwser.
questions are as follows:
1)which tire will fit better on a 7.5" rim, a 205, or a 215?
2) Will a 17x7.5" rim with a +40 offset fit a 2000 civic?
3) if not, what offset will?
basically, what size tires do i put on this rim, and better yet, will this rim even fit? i fear that hte offset isnt correct? and that its too wide? please correct me if im wrong!

Sorry I would try to help, but I've never gone larger than 16" wheels on a Civic.
Have some patience, someone will have this info for you.

2. Yes
3. 35-45 offset will work, but 35 will rub the calipers on some wheels, and 45 will stick out WAYYYY too far, and look very "ghetto".
