ctr pistons
shot peen'd rods
knife edge crank
gsr/typer/b16 oil pump
gsr/ls/b16/typer waterpump
arp rod bolts
arp head bolts
p28 ecu chipped
this is a basic setup that should keep you safe..
b16 head or gsr head (reccomend b16 head)
valves and springs and retainers i went with skunk2(high compression)
cams i ran skunk2 stage 2 but you can run stage 1 if you want to get out cheap..( not that big of a price diff..)

Head - Skunk2 intake manifold
B16 head ported and polished, 3-angle valve job, milled .002", new vavle seals
Type R valvesprings and retainers with GSR cams on adjustable cam gears
Block - B18A1
B18C1 (usdm GSR) pistons which is roughly 10.6-1 compression
Eagle h-beam rods with ARP rod studs
ACL race rod/main bearings + thrust washers
ARP headstuds, golden eagle vtec conversion kit
lightweight flywheel
Theres a lot of little things that i did to try to extend the life of this thing like all new gaskets from honda, balanced rotating assembly, B16 oil and water pump (which requires a GSR timing belt), a magflux on the crank, not to mention having the transmission rebuilt, becuase this setup is harder on stock trannys.
