i work at a lube place when im not at school..just go get a 88-00 civic filter, it will work. and so will other models....but im too lazy to type them out...the new ones r different size on the new civics...but this one is for sure the same as a generic 88-00 civic.honda=acura=same ****.

use anything but fram. I read a report in the net about them, they came in dead last. I believe bosch, Mobil 1, and STP filters came in first (all the same manufacturer).

I've read that report - but I don't have the link, sorry. FYI: the bosch, mobil 1 and stp filters' construction is almost identicle to the OEM honda filters, same oil flow, durability and anti drainback reliability. The only difference is the filter material itself - bosch, stp and OEM honda filter material is OKAY, while the Mobil 1 filter medium is the best.

Now, if you lived in japan, the filter material for OEM honda would be as good as (or better) Mobil 1's. Some reason Honda decided to give us cheaper filters than the ones that they have - if you want ultimate performance/protection, definitely go with the Mobil 1.

we've taken apart an OEM honda filter at school and several other filters mentioned above and they all were almost identical, so its up to you on which one you get, my friend has and GSR and just uses honda filters so you shouldnt hava a problem.

Thank goodness, because I've been using Bosch for as long as I've owned my car.

Fram sucks, I used their filter and the thread inside the filter stripped on me . Needless to say it took me 45 minutes to get the filter off. Im sticking with oem
