Default OEM filter vs. ???

yeah. ever since my ghetto jetta i've always run only oem filters in my car. just curious if anyone has any knowledge of oem vs. napa brand for example. i was gonna change my oil today but honda is closed so i can't get the dealer filter. just curious what people know. i've always used only honda filters and castrol 5/30 dino oil in my car. thanks!

Napa gold are good filters, but stay away from the silvers. Stay away from mobil one filters, as while they filter good, they do not flow that great compared to oem filters. The oem filter are now made by fram, but there are also ones made by filtech (the OG filters ), so when you pick one up, look on the shell for the company who made it. Or, you could use the s2000 filter, which is the same as a JDM HAMP filter, but its pricey (around $9 dollars)

do you guys think the filtech OEM are the best compromise (flow vs filtration) for a stock size filter?

Yeah I have seen articles that the mobil 1 filters flow really poorly.

dood, go to honda or acura and buy your filters there. done, no contest, no debate...your car will be stoked and you'll be done thinking if you did the right thing or not.

OEM is best.

S2000 filters only for me...Toyo Roki = ownage
Yeah theyre $8 compared to like 4-5 but ****, I change my oil 4-5 times a year, $16-20 extra a year for a great filter is worth it to me.

dealers filters are what i always use. also, honda discontinued the accord filters so i now have to use the civic one. they appear to be the same, the civic filter is just a smaller size. does that affect anything besides capacity?
