Default OBD0 and OBD1 chips???

can these chips be swapped from one ecu to the next

my friend has an obd 0 chipped ecu. he now has an obd1 ecu with jumper harness and would like to you that instead.
is this possible??

No an OBD0 chip will not work in an OBD1 ECU. They do not use the same code base. Your buddy will need to find someone that can read the OBD0 ROM (turbo edit) information. Then use that info make a new base using OBD1 ROM editor (Crome, uber, eCtune). Then they can take the same chip and burn the OBD1 code base onto it.
