Default Noob to EFs. Crank pully removal?

I am doing a mini me swap into an EF hatch and I need to change the timing belt first and I just ran into a problem. I cant get the main crank pully to loosen. I know with EGs DCs and EKs there is a special tool you can get from honda and I am sure there is a special tool for this D16a6.

But is there a way to get the pully off without the tool from honda?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can use a chain wrench which is what i do, or a really strong impact. 90% of EF crank pulley bolts ive been able ot remove with my IR 2135.
