non operational..how hard to make the car operational again??
for my registration, if i chose PNO, cuz the cars not going to be driven for at least a year since its in pretty bad shape (body and interiorwise)..how hard would it be to make it operational again? would it have to get inspected and smogged and all that other stuff? is it pretty hard and expensive?
im just trying to get an idea as to how much of a headache it would be. cuz i say the car wont be driven for a year but its probably more like 3 years haha. any help would be great. thanks!

nope. PNO is really a great idea. You pay the PNO fee and thats about it. Your registration is kept up to date, you just don't get a new tag to prevent someone from driving a Non Op. Once you decide to take it off of non op. You just pay the then current registration to get your tags back. No back fees cause you paid the non op (for every year you leave it that way). If you are caught in your smog year or pass the smog year, you just have to get it smogged. Granted if you pass smog. Oh one thing you might need also is insurance. Its been awhile since I have pulled out of non op.
well actually my registration and smog is due in a month or so..and i was planning on PNO it since the cars in terrible shape. if i just pay the PNO fee, will they still require me to smog it even tho its not going to be driven?
nope. they will only make you smog it when you take it out of PNO. Otherwise they won't give you the tags.
