I am going to do a valve adjustment tomorrow on my b20 (p8r head, dont think thats any different though) and I need to find out the specs... if anyone can help that would be chill. thanks

 

Factory spec for the B18B and B20B/Z is:

Intake: 0.003"-0.005"
Exhaust: 0.006"-0.008"

 

Intake: 0.003"-0.005"
Exhaust: 0.006"-0.008"

hi I had my intake 0.008 and exahusta 0.16 but when my car idles on a cold start ever since I adjusted the valve tappets; it idles under 1000rpm;BUT it never used to do that it used to idle on 1500 rpm when cold that was before I adjusted it and it still makes a tell of a noise what can it be???

 

My best educated guess is you may have a burnt exhaust valve and or an exhaust leak that caused the issue, my b20b did the saaame thing until I rebuilt the head
