here's the situation. i got in an accident. the welds on my front passenger side suspension's came loose, as pointed here on the illustration. D2 coilovers



the shop wants to take it all apart to be welded, since they can't tell if it's charged with air or oil and it'll expand. will it be safe to take it apart and recharge? 1 conflict is, they're made in taiwan, so it needs to be shipped back there if they can repair just that the right way. my insurance(usaa) may not cover for the whole set. so i need a replacement just for the fronts. if i can just buy a set of used coilovers for the fronts(downgrading to ground controls/ stock struts). man, i never thought this would give me headaches. i really need some good advice.
