just purchased a hatch with d16y7. after replacing the battery fuse, the car start. but the whole engine shake like crazy. the first thing that came to my mind is probably the valve need adjustment or the vacumm leak. check the gap and yes some of the exhaust valve is a little to tight, but when I put the cylinder no 4 to tdc the piston seems to be stuck and dont want to go up. cylinder 1,2,3 seems to be find. anybody have any experience with this?

 

Ughh. Iwould start with a compression test. If piston is not traveling in the bore you have a major mechanical malfunction. I could not see this being likely if the engine is normal sounding while running... aka not knocking internally.

 

if i do a compression test on the 4, if the piston is not moving, what the result be? 0
