Okay guys so i have a built gsr .. eagle rods ect... now im putting the bottom end together i put new STD acl race bearings with a STD micropolish crank. ARP mains and of course rods. but wen i torque it down it wont spin? like its locked up

 

cam caps are installed incorrectly

 

did u get the right size bearings? they r different thicknesses... right torque specs?

 

Take each rod out and recheck until you're down to just the crank. Then check the crank for straightness. If the straightness checks out < 0.002" then it's the block.

Forgot to say that the bearing clearances also need to be checked out too before everything above.

 

Simple, you are using arp main studs so the block needs line boring.

 

the head is not even on... and i this the second time doing the motor first time was fine... now it just wont turn wen its torque down

 

Used bearing lube for new motors? Check you're torque specs.

rod caps! sorry

 

With the pistons and rods out, you should be able to spin the crank by hand.
